A message from the Board of Directors:

Educators have held the belief for a long time that teacher expectations are the key to learning.  Oakstone Academy verifies it, on a daily basis, by setting high expectations for all its students, but we have learned that expectations alone are not the answer.  The expectations must be reflected in the lesson plans, delivery by the teachers, and the assessment and feedback process to be the most effective.

Our teachers have not only been trained in building high expectations into their classes, but are also committed to all students reaching their highest individual potential.  This is reflected across our wide curriculum and course offerings.  It is the foundation for what makes us different in today’s world of education where too often students are allowed to meet minimum, or reduced, expectations

Because of wide range of the students we serve, our teachers prepare multiple differentiated lesson plans, often designed on an individual basis.  As one teacher has said, “we might create different paths, but we never lower our expectations.”
