We are not alone! When you are passionate about what you do, it’s amazing how others want to share in your commitment. Not surprisingly, Oakstone Academy has been forming partnerships from its very beginning. Starting with the Worthington Church that provided us our initial space, our community partnerships have grown in multiple ways.
Otterbein College faculty, staff, and students have made a commitment to support our science teachers and our students. With Otterbein’s leadership, we are in the initial stages of developing partnerships with other educational institutions.
Organizations, both business and community, have helped us in many ways - from donating money and materials as we grew from a preschool to elementary, to providing access to other needed resources. With the opening of our high school a year ago, we have seen higher levels of commitment from our existing community partners, as well as a growing list of new partners.
Building partnerships with local corporations, businesses, colleges and other community resources gives the Oakstone Academy student a unique chance to reach beyond the resources and opportunities offered by many other schools. The following alliances offer students experiential learning that brings new meaning to “hands-on participation.”
