Oakstone Academy offers parents many opportunities to volunteer their time. Here is just a sampling of activities:
Parent Teacher Organization
Each of our buildings has PTO representatives who organize committees for class field trips, fundraisers, the PTO Newsletter, advocacy and special events. To get involved, contact the receptionist at your child’s building to find out more.
Every year the Annual Fundraising Committee plans a gala evening event in the spring featuring live and silent auctions, entertainment and award presentations. The event requires lots of hands-on involvement from procuring auction items to developing print materials. Vision 2012 Committee
Vision 2012 is an opportunity to create a school like no other – one that fosters an educational model that motivates and inspires children on all levels of the learning continuum to reach their highest potential through the study of science, technology and the arts. With the recent expansion of the Oakstone program into a new building housing our middle and high school students comes a challenge: providing an exciting learning environment with facilities and staff to meet those needs.
Vision 2012 Committee members are currently working with business and community leaders to raise funding that will establish Oakstone Academy as a leading school for students interested in science, art and technology. Assisting our Teachers
Our teachers welcome parent participation. If you would like to volunteer your time to assist our teachers either in the classroom or working on projects during your free time, please contact your child’s teacher directly.
